Rob Sand, Iowa

Rob Sand earned a bachelor's degree from Brown University, where he was named a Truman Scholar, and a law degree from the University of Iowa. As an assistant attorney general, he served as Iowa's chief public-corruption prosecutor, notably prosecuting the largest lottery-rigging scheme in U.S. history, before being elected State Auditor in 2018. His priorities include lowering costs, expanding access to education — including universal all-day pre-K — and an "Accountability for All" agenda featuring term and age limits, a ban on lawmaker stock trading, and restoring auditor oversight powers.
