Pat Ryan, New York

A West Point graduate with a master's degree from Georgetown University, Rep. Pat Ryan served as an Army intelligence officer with two combat tours in Iraq before co-founding the data-analytics firm Praescient Analytics. He later served as Ulster County Executive, where he led economic-development and public-safety initiatives. In Congress he serves on the Armed Services Committee and focuses on veterans, small businesses, and resilient infrastructure.
